Mandelyn (Mandy) Bouso

Illustrator & Comic Artist

Since I was a child I have had a passion for telling visual stories with a fantastical twist. Inspired by Japanese manga, art nouveau, and fantasy illustration, my art expresses a variety of emotion and unique characters  not easily forgotten. Each project I work on is centered on the message and mood delivered by the piece and the art style adapts to reflect that message. Nature and mythology also play a central theme in my art, as their beauty and adventures are timeless. My personal intention is to engage the viewer through inspiration and inner reflection on the narratives within the art, and how they might relate to those stories and archetypes portrayed. I enjoy working with a variety of media such as watercolors, ink, graphite, colored pencil, and digital programs such as Photoshop and Illustrator.

I graduated from Herron School of Art and Design with a Bachelor’s degree in Drawing and Illustration.
